Luke is doing a fine job

Thanks to Luke,the new website is progressing very well, despite my frequent emails and calls. It is a nice reminder that we all have our specialist subject areas but sometimes it is best to just let someone else get on with it, esp. when it is their area of expertise.

We are still tweaking a few things so, please, accept our apologies for any inconvenience and ongoing temporary changes that may occur.

Tax Disc & VED payment changes announced

The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced yesterday (December 5th) that with effect from 1 October 2014 Vehicle Excise Duty (Road Tax to you and me) can be paid in monthly instalments, annually or even bi-annually by Direct Debit. A surcharge of 5% will be applicable for monthly and bi-annual payment options.

Due to the wide use of number plate recognition and the Police having access to relevant databases to check tax status, the humble Tax Disc (introduced 1 January 1921) will be abolished at the same time.

Website Relaunched

Exciting times ahead. Out with the old and in with the new. The website is currently undergoing a complete and well deserved revamp as part of a relaunch.

Due to these changes some parts of the new site may be temporarily unavailable and information already displayed subject to change. Works are expected to be completed within the next two weeks.
